Udo Nabitz (1953) works in the field of addiction since more than
twenty years. He gained his Bachelors degree from the Eberhard
Karl University of Tübingen, attended the clinical psychology programme at
the University of Amsterdam and finished his studies in clinical psychology
in Tübingen.
In 1984, he moved
to Amsterdam, where he finished his therapeutic training and was appointed to
lead, improve and innovate the registration and research department of the
Jellinek Centre. In 1993, the
Amsterdam Institute for Addiction Research (AIAR) was established and Udo
Nabitz was appointed to the position as senior research psychologist. He was
engaged many quality improvement projects in addiction treatment services, in
health care and in the profit sector. Udo Nabitz became senior consultant of
the Dutch Institute for Quality Improvement in Health Care (CBO) in Utrecht,
was appointed Board Member of the Dutch Society for Quality in Health Care
(NVKZ), and is board member of the Dutch Society of Psychologists (NIP). In
2006 Udo Nabitz has finalized his thesis: Quality Management in Health Care. Empirical Studies in Addiction
Treatment Centres Algined to the EFQM Excellence Model.
